About: This work is inspired by the Beara Peninsula in West Cork. The changing weather can be seen approaching over the surrounding mountain ranges, shrouding each nearer hill in succession with angry browns and misty blacks. Then the rain envelops and clings, settling into a steady grey dribble which masks the terrain for days on end.
I created this using a mixed media collage of gritty and natural materials.
In January 2010 I was very excited that Professor Dermot Keogh of UCC selected one of the series to present to President Mary McAleese at the Ireland and European Integration: Membership, Influence and Contribution Conference.
